…this year’s motto of the Internet of Things Conference in Berlin. We take mottoes like these very seriously which is why we created a new version of the Wine Shelf. Easy to transport and simple to set up. So simple, we don’t need a booth builder. Simple enough for us to put it together all by ourselves without any help. So, we started building. (I reckon you already can guess what’s coming next…) All in all 4 parts, 8 screws. How many options to get it wrong does this give you? Well, we found 3! Three!! Then we took a look a the instructions that were given to us… Objectively, the Wine Shelf was probably the smartest object in the room at the time.
We managed eventually. Connecting the Wine Shelf was also a bit of a challenge this time. Luckily that’s a kind of topic the labs team has far less problems finding a solution for. We got all systems running smoothly with the help of a MiFi, which is actually quite cool.
Besides the Wine Shelf, we presented our #OktoberfestOfThings prototype for the very first time (no building required there, it’s just a table and two benches). Beer and wine…needless to comment on the impression everyone got from us once again. But we can live with that and were extremely happy with all the attention and feedback we got. Apart from just things, this event also gave us the opportunity to connect with the IoT community, and many like-minded people with which we hopefully will keep in touch. Thank you to everyone who came by our booth, even if it was just for a chat (or a subtle insult)! If there’s anything still on your mind don’t hesitate to send us a mail!
This hasn’t got much to do with the IoT Con, but if you’re ever in Berlin you should do some sightseeing at night (obviously we had other things to do at daytime…). Brandenburg Gate. Impressive!
