Edufy? What’s that? Let me explain: we at Labs saw an opportunity to give learners back control regarding the how, when & what they do learn. Instead of learning new topics by reading plain old books we thought it is time to create a learning platform that covers all kinds of learning media (eBooks, Podcasts, Videos etc.) and allows learners to create their “learnlists” (just like playlists for music) adding content of their choice to a custom learning plan. This learnlist is complemented by a digital assistant powered by voice control – Sara, as we call her, gives learners custom-tailored recommendations on their learning plan.
So for example if you have completed two podcasts, seen five videos and read three eBooks on the topic of music, Sara can provide you additional learning material based on your learning history. This can be achieved easily by asking her “find new learning material for music” through voice input and Sara will add recommended music learning material to your custom learning plan aka learnlist.
Now you may wonder what this has to do with SAP? Well, few things: first, we built this prototype on the SAP Cloud Platform Extension Factory. Second, as we wanted configurable learning products (different learning lengths, levels etc.), we maintain these in SAP Sales Cloud. Third, Sara, the digital assistant is powered by SAP Conversational AI. But this is just the high-level summary – in attached architecture there are a few more components that make Edufy a true C/4HANA story, such as using SAP Customer Data Cloud for user registration and login or SAP Service Cloud for allowing the students to ask questions in the learning community or crowd knowledge. This is not limited to showing individual aspects of C/4HANA, but rather demonstrates the whole end-to-end process from user registration and login, consuming (configurable) learning products up to closing the loop with optional service or help requests all part of the C/4HANA portfolio!
While Edufy is “just” a prototype we successfully made use of it at the CX Live Hackathon by positioning it as a C/4HANA entry point for the participants of this Hackathon. Using Edufy the participants easily understood the C/4HANA story plus saw the individual value and functions of each solution in the CX portfolio. Lastly, Edufy demonstrated nicely how to use each CX solution to an audience largely new to the C/4HANA topic.
