What is gARfield?
A 3D replica of a working environment and specific machines, with interactive instructions and repair procedures, viewed through a mixed-reality (MR) headset.
What does it do?
It allows a technician to work out what’s wrong with a machine without having to physically visit the site. The model of the installation, created on site with 3D scanning, allows them to assess the machinery, and add notes and repair instructions. With an MR headset, the on-site techs can then overlay the virtual model onto the real thing and carry out repairs.
What’s the benefit?
Because remote diagnosis speeds up repairs and cuts downtime, businesses can get back to work faster. And by precisely guiding on-site techs through the job, there’s a higher chance of a successful outcome.
