With the Smart Wine Shelf customers are able to establish their personal wine profile by answering a few questions. Once the profile is ready, it can be sent to a nearby wine shelf, which in return will highlight the wines that match the customer’s profile. By lifting a bottle the customer receives further information about the specific wine he holds in is hands and also sees on which criteria the recommendation has been made. These interactions produce live data that is displayed within a web page. We like to refer to it as real-time analytics in a physical retail space.
Of course the Smart Wine Shelf’s technology can be adapted to any kind of product a customer chooses based on his individual preferences. And on this architecture we have filed a patent.
