A changing room is equipped with an RFID scanner and a tablet computer. When an item (labelled with an RFID tag) is brought into the changing room, it will almost immediately appear on the tablet. By using the application on the tablet, the customer can choose a different size or colour, and have the selected item ‘delivered’ to the cabin. The request is sent to a sales assistant’s phone where it is managed in a separate application called TKT. The customer can also select items to create a wish list that is sent to an email address, which needs to be entered at this point.
The idea isn’t new but our solution is very effective. Cross-sales are also included. RFID loyalty cards could be added, but we hesitated because this may have an effect on the “creepiness factor”.
